Snickerdoodles

Today Big Sis helped me bake up some yummy Snickerdoodle cookies for an upcoming Coast Guard cookie exchange. Our house smells delicious and we have some soft snickerdoodles to enjoy and share with others. I can't wait to see the cookie's the other ladies are busy baking up!
Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar and 1/2 tsp salt.
Beat butter for 30 seconds; add 2 cups sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating until well combined.
Form dough into 1" balls, roll in a mixture of 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp sugar.
Place balls 2" apart on cookie sheet, flatten slightly.
Bake at 375 for 8 minutes or until light golden brown.
Snickerdoodles:
3 3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp milk
3 tbsp sugar 1 tsp cinnamon
