Spring Chevron Wreath

This weekend I was able to get some Spring crafting started.  Spring is one of my absolute favorite times of the year.  Not only is it my birthday but I love all the fresh and fun colors!  I recently picked up a bunch of different colors of this great chevron fabric at Joanns.
I cut the fabric into strips and started wrapping it around my wreath form.
Once I ran out, I cut another strip and placed it like I've shown you in the picture.  Fold over the unfinished edges and pin it on top of where we left off.  Once you continue to wrap you can later go back and remove the pin.
This is what it looks like after removing the pin, it stays folded over in place all by itself.
I found these adorable foam pompom's from Target's Easter section, for $3.50.  I used my husbands tin snips to trim the bottom off.  Trimming removed two of the leaves but I was able to hot glue them on top of the trimmed section to make it look great.
I'm loving how it turned out!  So fresh and fun for Spring!
I would love to see any of your Spring crafts, please leave me a comment with a link:)

Mesh Christmas Wreath

I saw a great tutorial on the Johnny In a Dress blog recently on a Christmas themed wreath made out of deco mesh.  I've never worked with this before but was ready to give it a try.
I used some ribbon with red swirls that was see through and placed it on top of the green ribbon.  Then I added the jingle bells to embelish it a little more.
Check out Natalie's blog for a very thorough tutorial :)
Then enjoy watching your girls play with baby
dolls and sip some Hot Cocoa by the Christmas Tree.
I sure do love this time of year!
Merry Christmas to all!

Burlap Fall Wreath

The first official day of Fall is next Saturday, September 22nd.

I made my first wreath this spring after seeing so many great ideas on pinterest.  Today I took apart our spring wreath and transformed it for fall.

This was my inspiration.
I wanted to re-use my already burlap wrapped
wreath to save as much money as possible.

I spent less than $5 at A.C. Moore and bought
some fall colored felt and decorations.

To make the flowers you cut a square piece of felt into a squigly strip and hot glue it together.  You can check out her blog above for a more detailed tutorial.

I think this is a good start to some fall decor.
How do you decorate for fall?
