American Girl Doll Visit

Today was a very special day!  Middle Sis is turning 8 next Monday but I took her out of school today for a special Mommy and Me date at the American Girl store.  It worked out great that Daddy was home for most of the day to stay with Little Sis while Middle Sis and I lived it up like Royal Princesses!!  She had no idea what I had planned for us today and was so excited when we walked up and saw the store!  I hope you enjoy the pictures from our visit.
We started out at the Doll Hair Salon where her doll "Nicki" had her hair done and she even got a special birthday crown.  Can you imagine having a job in a Doll Hair Salon...FUN!
She had fun walking around checking out all the different dolls, outfits and accesories.
This wardrobe was gorgeous.
She has the horse on the right.
I took a picture of these because Big Sis plays the flute.
"My American Girl" Dolls, that you pick out to have her look like you.
Middle Sis has one that looks like her.  Big Sis handed down her "Nicki" and "Samantha" dolls to her, which have both been discontinued.  Each year there is a new "Girl of the Year".

Then there are lots of Historical Dolls to choose from.
This is the Rebecca collection.
Molly Collection
All the Historical Dolls in their Holiday Dresses

 Kit, Ruthie, Molly, and Emily
These are part of the Bitt Baby Collection, that Little Sis has started to play with...hand-me-downs from  her big sisters.

After the doll salon and shopping we had a reservation at the Bistro for lunch.
They have these chairs that clip onto the tables for the dolls and if you don't have a doll with you they have some that you can borrow to eat with, they think of everything.
A special fruit smoothie while we wait.
After our lunch they brought out a cake and ice cream for her and even sang her Happy Birthday!
She was in shock I think, but she loved every minute of it!
What a wonderful day we had, it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
Big Sis went to the NY store back when we lived on Long Island, so this is a fun experience that I looked forward to having with Middle Sis and hopefully some day with Little Sis too.
