Christmas Peppermint Bark

Middle Sis and I made some of this super yummy Christmas Peppermint Bark yesterday and we LOVE it! It's super easy and fun to make and share with your family and friends this month!
You'll need:
24 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips
24 oz of white chocolate chips
and 2 boxes of candy canes
Melt the chocolate in the microwave at 30 second intervals until completely melted.
Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper.
Evenly spread the chocolate onto the paper lined sheet.
Place into your fridge for 30 minutes or until completely hardened.
Have your helper unwrap all the candy canes.
Then have fun smashing them into fine pieces in a ziploc baggie.
Melt the white chocolate the same way that you did the semi-sweet.
Stir in one cup of the candy cane bits into the melted white chocolate.
Spread the white chocolate over the semi-sweet that is hardened and then sprinkle with the remaining candy cane bits.

  1. Looks great! I haven't started to make Christmas treats, but this one looks nice and easy and so festive that I'm going to try it out! I just can't find candy canes here in Germany. Our commissary ran out a month ago! :( I think they might still have some peppermints though we can use. Hope so. Thanks for the recipe!

  3. I made some with almost this exact recipe - the only difference I did was buy presmashed peppermint candy (can you say l-a-z-y lol), and then mix some of the peppermint into the white chocolate, and sprinkle the rest on top. I brought it to work and everyone raved over it (I didn't tell them how easy it was, lol). Thanks for sharing it, and your lovely assistant - have a very Merry Christmas!
